An Iranian energy official said trade between Iran and Turkmenistan will stand at $60 billion in the next ten years.
"Iran and Turkmenistan are determined to expand cooperation and plan to enforce all memoranda signed by the two countries in the coming years," said Iranian Oil Minister's Representative and Advisor Mohammad-Taqi Amanopour at the closing ceremony of Iran's 11th Specialized Exhibition in Ashgabat, Fars News Agency reported.
The official noted that the two countries are determined to develop further relations in all fields as Iranian and Turkmen presidents Hassan Rouhani and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underscored in a meeting in Ashgabat on March 11.
Addressing the same event, deputy head of Turkmen Commerce and Industry Chamber expressed satisfaction with the exhibition and said Turkmen traders, economic activists and investors can become familiar with the capabilities and achievements of Iranian companies in the exhibition.
The three-day specialized expo on Iran's oil, gas, petrochemical, construction, energy, water, electricity and engineering products and services took place in Ashgabat from August 19-21.
The expo, called 'Iran Project', mainly focused on Iran's energy sector, but was also aimed at increasing Iran's non-oil exports and paving the way for developing trade, particularly bartering Turkmenistan's gas with Iranian goods and services.
Around 300 major Iranian companies involved in industrial production and export of technical and engineering services took part in this event
