A senior Oil Ministry official said on Friday that South Korea is ready to import more oil from Iran once the sanctions are lifted.
Mansour Moazzami, deputy oil minister for planning and supervision of hydrocarbon resources, made the remarks after a meeting with South Korean Deputy Trade Minister Woo Tae-hee, IRNA reported.
He said that during the meeting, the South Korean representatives expressed readiness to participate in Iran's oil and gas upstream projects, transfer of energy, help Iran increase exploitation of crude oil and gas condensates, and buy LNG.
Iran and South Korea, he noted enjoy traditional relations. "Definitely, with the removal of sanctions, relations between Tehran and Seoul will reach a good level, and technical cooperation between the two countries will further be promoted."
