Shazand Petrochemical Plant has processed more than 0.5mt of products ever since Mach 21 (beginning of calendar year in Iran) which is 100.3% of its nameplate capacity.
The plant is designed to produce nearly 1.46 million tons of petrochemicals annually.
It has contributed to 3.19% of the country's petrochemical output by processing 125,000tons/month of products.
The plant also supplies the needs of more than 5,000 downstream units involved in car manufacturing, medical equipment, painting, textile, detergent, cosmetics and sanitation.
Shazand Petchem Plant produces ethylene, propylene, CFU, polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, butadiene, ethylene oxide, acetic acid, etc.
The plant was launched in 1993 with a rated capacity of 150,000 b/d. Its premium gasoline production has increased from 1.2 ml to 3.2 ml.
