Two delegations of German traders are due in Tehran in coming weeks for talks with their Iranian counterparts on energy and economic cooperation, announced Deputy Oil Minister for International Relations and Trade Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia.
"Delegations from two German states will visit Iran to introduce their industrial capabilities," he told Shana during a visit by Minister of Finance and Economics of Germany's Baden-Wurttemberg state Nils Schmid who is heading a 68-member team of officials and corporate representatives.
Firms from Baden-Wurttemberg state specialize in machinery and equipment manufacturing, he added. "It was agreed to introduce them to Domestic Industries Protection authorities in the ministry for cooperation in production of 10 essential equipments."
Germany was the first Western country to dispatch a high-ranking political and trade delegation to Iran. Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel led German officials and corporate managers on a business visit to Tehran shortly after the deal.
During Gabriel's visit, Iranian and German officials discussed economizing water and energy consumption, improving efficiency in power plants, building new power plants, constructing renewable energy power plants as well as new energies.
