TEHRAN Sept. 19 (Shana) – Participants of the Second International Conference on Technological Opportunities (ICTO) in Oil and Gas Industry to be held on September 30 in Tehran will discuss Enhanced Oil Recovery and Improved Oil Recovery technologies and related equipment.
“It is an opportunity to use the post-sanctions atmosphere so that main actors in the field, namely, industry, universities and research centers, can introduce their activities and take part in international cooperation,” said Mohammad-Ali Emadi, director for research and technology of National Iranian Oil Company.
“Worlds cutting-edge technologies are not to be granted or purchased. Rather, they have to be seized and acquired. We have to obtain the EOR/IOR technologies through international cooperation projects,” he said.
Emadi said exchange of experience through convention of international conferences can increase successful experiences and reduce negative ones.
He stressed enhancement of human resources, skills, hard wares, laboratories, and soft wards and added, “All university and research institutes have to establish networks and international cooperation to take effective steps in carrying out studies on the country’s oil and gas fields.”
