A visiting representative of Advantage Austria has said oil companies in his country are poising to grab petroleum projects in Iran once the sanctions are lifted.
Karl Harleb, deputy director general of Advantage Austria, told Shana that the Austrian oil company which is in serious talks with Iran and ' is very interested in doing oil exploration and drilling' in the country.
'Iranian firms and ministries that have been working with Austrian companies have realized that they are good partners, they fulfill their contracts and stick with their clients, so if there are challenges they can solve them together,' he said.
He further said Advantage Austria has been active in Iran since 2004 and is in good terms with the Iranian state and private sectors.
'I think that the cooperation will start immediately after it is legally allowed and export credit agencies are about to reexamine issues and settle the outstanding problems but they will also be ready in that moment and I think possible financing will be available from the Austrian side' he added.
