Large Italian team due in November
A large Italian delegation is scheduled to visit Iran in late November.

This was announced in a meeting in Tehran between the Head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Valiollah Afkhami-Rad and a number of Italian officials, tpo.ir reported.
During the meeting, which was held to arrange for the delegation's meetings in Tehran, both sides underlined the need for further expanding economic and trade ties.
Italian officials announced that the delegation will include 150 businessmen and traders involved in the industry, environment, auto manufacturing, oil, gas, production of medical instruments and mining sectors.
They noted the team will be in Tehran from November 28-30, adding Italian Minister of Economy and Finances Pier Carlo Padoan will also accompany the team for talks with Iranian counterparts.
Afkhami-Rad, who is also a deputy industries, mine and trade minister, said, "In addition to attracting Italian investors, we are mainly interested in importing modern technologies. If Italian companies focus on stimulating joint production with Iranian firms, Iran will be able to manufacture exportable goods."
Noting that Iran and Italy have rich cultures, he hoped that they will be able to boost collaboration in the fields of culture, science and education.
