ASSOCHAM urges Iran, India to sign preferential trade agreement
The Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM) has called for signing preferential trade agreement between Tehran and India.

In a statement released on Monday, ASSOCHAM said that the lifting of Western sanctions on Iran will prepare the ground for signing preferential trade agreement between Iran and India.
The statement added that such an agreement could pave the way for exports of Indian products to Central Asian countries and Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Valiollah Afkhami Rad said in a meeting with Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Rajani Ranjan Rashmi, in Tehran last March that signing preferential trade agreement had to be high on the agenda.
