Managing director of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) said Wednesday that the company is ready to increase oil production to three million barrels per day.
Given its big oil resources, the company is capable of achieving that goal in the shortest time, Bijan Alipour told IRNA.
NISOC has enough capacity to add 600,000 barrels per day to its production following the removal of sanctions, said the official.
The company is currently producing two million barrels daily, he added.
Turning to the post-sanctions era, he said international oil giants have expressed readiness to invest in Iran.
European oil companies have also expressed willingness to invest in Iranian oil projects, he noted.
NISOC is the biggest oil company affiliated to National Iranian Oil Company.
