Iran and Romania signed an MoU in a bid to expand cooperation in trade, industry and energy.
A delegation from Iranian Chamber of Commerce met with Romanian private sector activists in Romania, where the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation.
Head of Business Commission of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce Mohammad-Reza Najafi-Manesh who took part in the meeting, said Romania with well-based industrial infrastructure is supplying Renault car parts for the whole world.
It is also of high agricultural potentials, he said, adding the two sides can use the opportunity for boosting bilateral cooperation.
He also said that Iran can export petrochemicals to the European country and even establish a refinery in there to purify oil and distribute the purified products to Europe through the channel.
Masoud Khansari leading the Iranian delegation in the trip, highlighted Iran’s considerable potentials in industry, mine, agriculture and tourism and the appropriate climate following the nuclear agreement.
He also said that the two countries can work in economic fields, such as tourism, auto industry, car parts, oil and gas industries, agriculture, petrochemicals and electronics.
Romanian Minister of Economy, Trade and Tourism Mihai Tudose said the Iranian trade team’s travel to Romania is an important step to revive economic relations between the two countries.
He also expressed the hope to visit Iran and Iranian authorities and private sector activists.
