Iran’s deputy industries Minister, on Tuesday, recounted the latest developments in Iranian market and prospects of progress in near future.
Over the last six months, 29 foreign delegations from 14 countries have visited Tehran to weigh the prospects of cooperation with Iranians in post sanctions era, said Valiollah Afkhami Rad, the Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran and Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines, and Trade, on Tuesday in Tehran.
During the press conference organized to mark the National Day of Export in Iran, Afkhami Rad affirmed that many foreign trade and economy delegations, in these days, are visiting Tehran to negotiate with Iranian traders, and commissioners.
He added that all these official and unofficial visits were made to survey the investment conditions, weigh the ways to join Iranian partners, and measure the prospects of opportunities in Iran after the removal of anti-Iran sanctions in the coming months.
In the last six months, the Austrian delegation was the biggest one with 250 traders accompanying the president of the European country, said the Iranian official adding that there were also small delegations of 4 to 5 members who travelled to Iran over the same period.
Drawing a comparison between the last six months of the current Iranian calendar year with the same period of the last year, Afkhami Rad noted that Iran dispatched 5 delegations of a total of 90 members to foreign countries in the first 6 months of Iranian year of 1393, and received six delegations of six countries with a total of 88 members while in 1394, 29 delegations of 14 countries with a total of 540 member arrived in Tehran despite the fact that Iran dispatched the same number of delegations abroad.
More than 1400 foreigners visited Tehran representing different companies of Europe and Asia, over the last six months, and discussed ways of cooperation after the implementation of the JCPOA.
An agreement between Iran and 5+1, the JCPOA was signed in Vienna on July 14, defining the mechanisms of removal of sanctions in exchange for some curbs in Iran’s nuclear program.
