Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Hamid-Reza Araqi said on Monday that Iran will soon export gas to Iraq.
Addressing the Oil and Energy Seminar on Monday, Araqi said Iran's current gas refining capacity is 260 billion cubic meters a year, that is times higher than the production level.
He referred to gas exports and said Iranian gas is now exported to Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
He added that negotiations are underway for export of gas to Oman and Kuwait.
