Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil Armando Monteiro Neto is to arrive in Tehran on Monday heading an economic delegation.
According to the Foreign Ministry Media Department, the delegation includes officials from Chamber of Commerce, Central Bank, economic officials of Foreign Ministry as well as 35 businessmen and economic activists from the private sector.
The Brazilian delegation during its 3-day visit to Iran is to meet with Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Economic and Finance, Industry, Mine and Trade and officials from Central Bank and private banks of Iran.
Objective of the visit is to strengthen bilateral ties of Tehran and Brasilia in the fields of foreign trade, energy, banking, agriculture and investment.
Meanwhile, a conference dubbed 'Cooperation Opportunity Between Iran and Brazil' will be held during the visit in presence of industry ministers of the two countries and a large number of active companies in different fields of industry, food materials, nano technology, aerospace, telecommunications and machineries.
Brazil as the seventh world economic power is trying to join world powers from Latin American region. Its presence in BRICS group, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, is creating an outlook for a multi-polar system.
Brazil is the most important economic partner of Iran in Latin America and its trade balance with Iran is 1.6 billion dollars.
Its main export items to Iran are beef, sugar, corn and its import from Iran are mainly carpet, raisin and petrochemicals.
