Iran's industries, mines and trade minister and the British minister of state for trade and investments in a meeting on Sunday surveyed ways for broadening Tehran-London industrial and trade cooperation.
During the meeting, Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh said that in the new era of reconstructing Iran's relations with world countries, Tehran's strategy is long-term cooperation and joint investments.
'Preparing the infrastructures and Iran joining to the World Trade Organization (WTO) are of great importance for us and the European countries' support in that regard is needed,' he reiterated.
Nematzadeh said that Britain's experience in financial and legal services provides an appropriate basis for expansion of interactions.
'New technologies, public transportation, petrochemical industries, upper and lower hand industries, medical facilities, food and textile industries are the fields in which Iran is interested in expansion of bilateral cooperation with Britain,' he said.
The British Minister of State for Trade and Investments Lord Francis Maude, too, expressing delight for restoration of the Iran-British diplomatic and trade ties said that Tehran-London relations are as long as history.
'Thanks to the reached nuclear agreements we hope the conditions will be met for a satisfactory onward movement together,' said the lord.
He, meanwhile, announced London's enthusiasm for long-term cooperation with Iran, arguing that he assumes that will be a nice move aimed at confidence-building among the investors and encouraging them for making investments in Iran.
Lord Francis Maude at the end announced Britain's readiness for cooperation with Iran in oil, gas, rail and air transportation and technical and engineering designing.
