Maku Free Trade Zone is in talks with firms from Germany and Turkey to invest in petrochemical units in the northwest of Iran, said the zone's managing director.
"A delegation from Germany will visit Maku FTZ in the coming weeks and Turkish companies are also interested in investing in the zone," Hossein Foruzan told Shana.
"Petrochemical projects are a priority for investment in the zone," he said adding that its infrastructure projects are also inviting investors.
Foruzan cited copious water resources and feedstock supply as major the zone's advantages which justify investment in petrochemical industry.
