First Iran Specialized Exhibition on Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Water, Electricity, Building Industry and Technical and Engineering Services opened in Baku today.
The ongoing event displays equipment of oil and gas industry, engineering structures, technical and engineering projects, technical and engineering services in the field of road and bridge construction and asphalt, industrial products, petrochemicals, construction materials, cement, brick, plaster, paint and resin, sanitary services, stone, glass, window and door, irrigation and agricultural systems and electricity and related equipment.
Addressing that inaugural ceremony, Gilan Governor General Mohammad Ali Najafi referred to Iranians' interest in joint activities with their Azeri counterparts, saying, 'I witnessed Azeri job generators' willingness to promote ties with Iran during Joint Economic Seminar.'
He also stressed the need for facilitating visits to both states as well as issuance of visas with the aim of boosting economic interactions between the two countries' private sectors.
Najafi hoped that the talks with the Azeri officials during his visit would contribute to the enhancement of bilateral economic relations.
Speaking at the same gathering, Azerbaijan's deputy minister economy and industry, Sahel Babayev pointed to the two countries' historic bonds, saying that Tehran-Baku ties have entered a new stage in recent years.
He also said that Iran specialized exhibition in Baku will help promote mutual cooperation between the two countries' companies.
