Several European companies bid for partnership with Iran on LNG
Deputy Oil Minister for Gas Affairs Hamid-Reza Araqi said on Tuesday that several European companies have offered proposals for partnership with Iran on construction of LNG units and export of gas but no decision has been made by Iran so far.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with the working group of the International Gas Union, Araqi said that five LNG projects, the so-called Iran LNG Project, are now in stage of commissioning with 60 percent progress and they will be completed and the LNG will be marketed by next one year and a half after finding a financier.
'We can not export gas to all countries through pipeline but LNG has not such a limitation.'
He said that although LNG is not sold for high price in the market for the time being but initiating the business is a strategy for Iran.
On recent talks with the Dutch delegation, he said that talks and meetings were held with Dutch investors on opportunities of investment in Iranian oil and gas sector.
Reservation, refining, pipeline and intelligent control are the areas of cooperation with foreign partners.
