Oil Ministry is in talks with German Linde company to resume the import of gas equipment from the European country, said Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh on Saturday.
He told Mehr News Agency that Iran will launch the first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit in the Persian Gulf once the sanctions are lifted.
To export gas to Europe, he said, Iran has prioritized the establishment of LNG plant which has witnessed a physical progress of 60 percent.
Zanganeh added that 10.5 million tons will be added to Iran's LNG production capacity once the plant goes on stream.
Pointing to negotiations with European states including Spain, he said that Iran has not yet made a decision on its foreign partners to complete the LNG plant.
Zanganeh noted that Iran plans to produce 12.5 million-13 million tons of LNG annually in the post-sanctions era.
Iran will soon join the LNG producers and exporters club, the minister said.
