Executives and representatives of five American oil and trade companies have traveled to Tehran to find out more about the new generation of Iranian Petroleum Contracts (IPC).
In time with the holding of a conference to introduce a new model for oil contracts called Iran Petroleum Contracts (IPC), managers and representatives of five American oil, legal and auditing companies have travelled to Tehran to learn about details of new developmental contracts of the Iranian oil industry during the post-sanction era.
Accordingly, the visiting firms include CMS Energy the headquarter of which is located in Michigan, the Petroleum Marketing Group distributor of oil and petroleum products, the tax and auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, oil and drilling services company Schlumberger as well as the Shearman & Sterling company active in the field of trade and consulting services with a headquarter in New York.
Despite the fact that Iran’s official talks with reputable US companies like Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and Halliburton has not started yet, executives of five SMEs have arrived in Iran.
Meanwhile, Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh has stressed that “we have no objection to and no problem with US companies’ presence in Iran.”
Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) had also referred to the possibility of American firm’s participation in Iranian oil industry projects during the post sanction period; “the government considers no limit to their presence in Iran and the new contracts provide the possibility of cooperation with American oil companies."
