Georgia is ready to start talks with Iran both in natural gas and electricity sectors, Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze said.
“In the near future we will start negotiating not only in terms of natural gas, but also electricity. Iran is a very interesting country,” Georgia Online cited Kaladze as saying.
According to the official data the trade turnout between Georgia and Iran was estimated at around $200 million with the number expected to increase to between $2-3 billion. According to the Georgian media, the country is going to start exporting water to Iran soon, with Iran providing gas to Georgia in return.
