Iranian minister of industry has said Iran and Denmark can have broader trade and economic relations.
At a meeting with the visiting Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Jensen, Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh pointed out the existence of considerable potentials and capacities for cooperation between Iran and Denmark expressing hope that bilateral ties between the two countries will be promoted to a desirable level.
Nematzadeh stressed that Iran and Denmark can be good trade partners; “the sides are capable of deepening economic and trade relations.”
The official deemed long-term cooperation and joint ventures as Iran’s main objectives asserting “possible venues for expansion of ties include industry, technology, energy, petrochemical, food industry as well as carpet industry.”
Recalling that various companies from several countries have expressed willingness to collaborate with Iran over the past six months, Nematzadeh underlined “Iran seeks to become a member for the World Trade Organization (WTO).”
“Iran’s Ministry of Industry will back all incoming cooperation,” maintained the official emphasizing “proper grounds for producing goods and conducting joint ventures are already available in Iran to the extent that Iran can be considered as the center of the Middle East.”
At the end of his remarks Iran’s Industry Minister Nematzadeh asserted “bilateral cooperation with Iran can bring about further synergies for being an industrial country with numerous youth and graduates.”
Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Jensen, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the establishment of economic relations with Iran adding “we hope the two countries will reach tangible agreements once the international sanctions are nullified.”
Jensen welcomed expansion of win-win cooperation; “Denmark is willing to establish cooperation with Iranians and welcomes Iran’s joining the WTO,” he reiterated.
“Denmark can be considered as Europe’s hub for Iran,” noted the Danish official concluding “Denmark possesses numerous companies and the two countries will be able to sign significant contracts.”
