Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) announced that Iran would welcome the opening of Iran-US chamber of commerce in the US.
According to Mehr News Agency, Head of ICCIMA Mohsen Jalalpour pointed to the rush of foreign delegations visiting Iran and said, "During the last eight months more than 150 delegations including 70 from the EU and 30 from Asian and African countries visited Iran to rebuild or develop ties with Iranian companies."
He added, "We expect an economic boom after several months given the positive impacts of the lifting of sanctions and visits by foreign delegations to ICCIMA."
Jalalpour noted, "All chambers of commerce in the world are duty-bound to interact with their counterparts. While we would welcome the opening US-Iran joint chamber in the US officially by US chamber of commerce and in return we would do our best to establish Iran-US chamber.
"Some major American enterprises have benefited from good relations with Iran's economy and we hope that such experiences would encourage and facilitate the establishment of joint chamber in the US."
Jalalpour highlighted that economic ties with the US have been affected by sanctions which were removed after the historical nuclear deal when the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed Iran's commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
