Mohammad-Taqi Amanpour, a top advisor to the Petroleum Minister Bijan Zangeneh, said on Monday that Iran is due to export goods and services to Turkmenistan for its gas imports from the country.
Iran imports nearly $3 billion of gas from Turkmenistan annually, Amanpour said.
Iran has been importing gas from Turkmenistan since 20 years ago and ever since the policy of the Petroleum Ministry has been encouraging Iranian producers to export their commodities to Turkmenistan, the official said.
