Shahdaie appointed new managing director of NPC
Marzieh Shahdaie, the former director for projects in Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC), was appointed as the new managing director of the company.

In a decree on Monday, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh appointed Shahdaie to the post, replacing Abbas Sha’ri-Moqaddam, according to the Shana news agency.

Zanganeh says Iran is planning for a leap in its petrochemical industry in the post-sanctions era.

In a ceremony held in Tehran in December 2015 to celebrate the 51st establishment anniversary of the NPC, Mohammad-Hassan Peyvandi, the deputy managing director of company, said petrochemical industry can crown Iranian economy, because many other industries of the country are relying on it.
