Iran inaugurated the largest liquefied gas storage facilities in the country’s southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan.
In a ceremony on Thursday to mark victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the plant was launched in Zahedan to meet the need of local people, Shana reported.
The gas plant will help development of the province’s infrastructures, reduce transportation costs, improve railroads operation, and pave the ground for export of liquefied gas.
With a capacity of 500 tons, it increased gas storage capacity of the province to 1,150 tons which can meet the needs of Zahedan district for 15 days.
