Officials from the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and a 20-member delegation from the European Commission met here on Tuesday discussing prospects of cooperation in the field of energy.
Headed by Deputy Director General for Energy Thomas Gerassimos, the European Commission team negotiated bilateral ties and upcoming visit by the EU energy commissioner to Tehran.
The Iranian side was comprised of representatives of the Petroleum Ministry’s International Relations and Commerce Department, National Iranian Gas Export Company, National Petrochemical Co., National Iranian Oil Co., National Iranian Gas Co., National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Co., and Fuel Optimization Co.
Representatives from European Commission’s Directorate General of Energy, Joint Energy Center, Development and Cooperation, and Research and Innovation, as well as External Action Service, and regulatory experts took part in the meeting.
