Head of Marketing Department at Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company Diako Abbasi said plans are underway to open petrochemical offices in Africa.
Speaking to reporters in Tehran on Sunday, Abbasi said petrochemical exports to Europe and Africa has grown significantly following the removal of sanctions. He added Iran will soon open regional offices in Africa to facilitate petrochemical trade, Fars News Agency reported.
Iranian companies, he said, can thus market, ship and store petrochemical products in target markets.
Earlier, Head of Iran's National Petrochemical Company Marzieh Shahdaei said on Saturday that Iranian companies are in talks with foreign petrochemical companies keen on business opportunities in Iran.
She said the talks are aimed at linking Iranian petrochemical firms with their opposite numbers abroad now that US-engineered sanctions on Tehran's nuclear program have been lifted and prospects are brighter than ever for cooperation and investment of foreign financiers in the petrochemical sector.
