Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak announced that Russian Rosneft Company is interested in participating in Iran's oil and gas projects.
Rosneft, a leader of Russia's oil and gas industry, is the world's largest publicly traded oil and gas company, reported IRNA.
Novak said that Iran should announce its conditions for the participation of foreign companies in oil and gas contracts.
Prior to the anti-Iran sanctions, some Russian oil and gas companies such as Lukoil and Gazprom had been active in Iran's oil and gas fields' plans since 2010.
During the sanction era, Russian companies had to suspend their participation under pressure from the West and the US.
