Deputy Petroleum Minister for Petrochemical Affairs Marzieh Shahedaie said on Saturday that Iran's petrochemical production capacity will reach 160 million tons in the next 10 years.
Shahedaie underlined contribution of all sectors active in the petrochemical industry to the Economy of Resistance projects and said efforts should be made to check selling raw material while raising production of products with high value-added.
Shahedaie said current petrochemical production capacity stands at 60 million tons, while it was 46 million tons last year.
Shahedaie said about six million tons are expected to be added to the national production capacity this year.
