Iran's Ambassador to Poland Ramin Mehmanparast said on Friday that the country welcomes Polish companies' joint investment ventures with their Iranian counterpart in the oil and gas sectors.
In a meeting with Polish Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski, Mehmanparast also underscored Iran's cooperation capacities in fields of trade and economy.
Mehmanparast also discussed areas of cooperation in arenas of fossil fuels, oil and gas, nuclear energy and renewable energies during the meeting.
He also said presence of Polish firms in Iran International Oil and Gas Exhibition will serve as an opportunity to promote mutual cooperation.
Tchórzewski, for his part, referred to his government's resolve for cooperation with Iran, saying that energy is one of the major areas of cooperation for the two countries.
Polish administration is seeking diversity in meeting energy needs and given its numerous capabilities in fossil energy sector, Iran can serve as a good partner for Poland.
Polish energy minister voiced the companies' readiness for participating in Iranian oil and gas projects and investment in the field.
A 35-people delegation from Polish oil and gas companies will arrive in Tehran on May 6 to attend the International Oil and Gas Exhibition.
