Visiting Tunisian Minister of Energy and Mines Mongi Marzouk on Saturday called for using the Iranian valuable experience to develop infrastructure in energy industry.
Marzouk made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Hamid Chitchian.
The two sides discussed the ways for expanding mutual cooperation in energy industry.
Pointing to the growing consumption of energy in Tunisia, he voiced the Arab country readiness to exploit the Iranian capabilities in energy industry.
Chitchian, for his part, expressed hope that trade and economic relations would be facilitated between the two countries.
Last month, Official in charge of foreign relations of Iran-Tunisia Joint Chamber of Commerce Afes Nour ad-Din announced opening up Letters of Credits (LCs) after the sanctions were lifted.
Nour ad-Din said the LCs will be opened up normally and businessmen of the two countries may use this financial capacity to develop economic cooperation.
Iran opened its embassy in Tunis almost 60 years ago and this country has political, cultural and economic relations with Iran.
