Japan Cooperation Center, Petroleum (JCCP) has resumed activities in the Iranian oil industry after a six-year hiatus.
Upon extension of Iran’s crude oil sale and export contracts with Japanese refiners for the year 2016, the East Asian country’s JCCP has recommenced its activities in Iran’s oil refining industry after six years.
Speaking on the sidelines of a training course for staff of Iranian oil refineries, CEO of JCCP Tsuyoshi Nakai said his company is willing to hold training sessions as well as to cooperate with Iranian oil companies over other issues.
Nakai also met and talked with Executive Director for International Affairs at National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Seyyed Mohsen Ghamsari over expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of education required by oil industry, human resource management, marketing and distribution of crude oil, oil products as well as finance.”
The Japanese firm has so far trained 1400 Iranians which marks the first educational partnership of the Japanese company with Iran’s oil industry since 2010.
Meanwhile, Director for production coordination and supervision at National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Saeed Mahjoubi had said earlier “Iran and a Japanese company have inked a memorandum of joint cooperation aiming to reduce fuel oil production at oil refineries in Abadan and Tehran.”
The top NIORDC official said the agreement seeks to conduct preliminary studies to reduce fuel oil in Tehran refinery as well as to reduce energy consumption in Abadan Oil
