A one-day media
conference was held on Sunday in OPEX (Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products
Exporters’ Association) in which board of directors gave the reporters detailed
answers.
Long-standing problems
through export of the oil, gas and petrochemical products, which were and still
are vexed issues, were discussed.
“private sector, as an
always-ready-to-export and wing of the government, is asking for removal of the
regulations that impede our export and progress.” Farzan Golchin, the head of
board, said.
“ serious matters that we
gently ask are:
-
Slow pace of change in the regulations that seem to be there for a long
time.
-
Providing the Paraffin producers as well as petrochemical companies with
feedstock.
-
Empowering us to use banking facilities
-
A policy aimed at halting sales tax for export
“ he added.
In the end of the conference Hamid Hosseini mentioned that establishment of
a new regulatory entity has been debated between government and private sector
to facilitate the business process.
