U.S. oil companies’ presence in Iran limited by Congress
Iran sees no limitations in negotiation with the U.S. oil firms and these companies are limited by the laws of the United States Congress, Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs and Commerce Amir-Hossein Zamaninia was quoted by IRNA as saying on Monday.

Restrictions for the U.S. companies’ activity in Iran is related to the early sanctions that the congress passed and still survives, Zamaninia said.

According to IRNA, with implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran has started negotiating with international companies and firms to participate in the country’s oil industry.
