The smallest refinery of South Korea has resumed imports of gas condensate from Iran.
In time with the implementation of new South Pars phases and the surge in Iran’s gas condensate production capacity, Hyundai Chemical Company has recommenced purchase of the Iranian product.
Accordingly, the South Korean firm had imported two shipments of Iranian gas condensate in in order to begin pilot operation of a new refining unit.
The two cargos with a total volume of 1.1 million barrels were bought in June and August, 2016.
Apparently, the first shipment was delivered to South Korea’s Hyundai Chemical while the second cargo will reach destination in early September.
The East Asian refinery has announced that the company will launch pilot production of its refining unit in August and September with a capacity of 130 thousand barrels per day while commercial production will begin in the fourth quarter of the current year.
