Iran, Norway sign shipping insurance deal
Iran and Norway signed an insurance MoU in the field of shipping.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line (IRISL) and Norway’s Skuld P&I Company inked an agreement on different kinds of sea insurances.

The MoU covers personnel training, improvement of Iranian experts' knowledge and capabilities and the complaints in relation to sea insurance.

Norway’s Skuld insurance company was established in 1897 and operates by two subsidiaries named Skuld Offshore and Skuld Hull. Skuld Insurance Company has 250 representative offices worldwide.

IRISL also signed an agreement with Norway's other insurance company called DNV GL certification body in July of this year. It covered areas of legal inspections for issuing international certificates for Iranian ships which will travel to the European ports and other important ports of the world.
