Deputy Minister of Petroleum for International Affairs and Trading Amir Hossein Zamaninia said on Tuesday that Lebanon is eager to buy fuel oil and gasoil from Iran.
Zamaninia made the remarks on the sidelines of the meeting of Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh with Lebanese Minister of Industry Hussein al-Haj Hassan.
He said Lebanon has also asked for cooperation in the field of training workforce.
Zanganeh had told the Lebanese Minister that Lebanon is a friend and important country for Iran.
He said the two sides have not had noticeable ties in oil and gas, perhaps due to sanctions but Iran wants cooperation with Lebanon in the areas of mutual interest.
