Head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mine, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Gholam-Hossein Shafeyee said conditions are ripe for enhancing interactions between petrochemical and environmental companies from Iran and Germany.
"Iran, given its oil and gas riches and educated and skilled labor and abundance of cheap energy in it, is regarded by Germany economic activists as advantageous," he said, adding, the two countries can cooperate in such areas as petrochemical and environmental sectors.
Speaking at a commercial event between Iran and Germany which saw the attendance of German Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel in Tehran on Monday, Shafeyee said Iran and Germany enjoy longstanding and historical relations which is still regarded as being in a positive state despite all the challenges in recent years.
"Unfortunately, the two countries' relations were influenced by Iran's nuclear case, but the prospects of their relations is promising," he said.
He said Iran is seeking to enhance its industrial ties with Germany, adding Iran has seen serous upgrades in its economy recently.
