In the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year, a total of 42 million tons of petrochemical products were exported 17 million tons of which were deployed to global markets.
Iran managed to produce 42 million and 100 thousand tons of petrochemical and polymer products in the past 10 months.
In the meantime, an aggregate total of 17 million tons of various petrochemicals and polymer products were shipped to destination markets across the globe.
Accordingly, in the timespan between December 21, 2016 to January 14, 2017, approximately 4.5 million tons of petchem products were manufactured inside the country of which 1.387 thousand tons worth about 900 million dollars were exported.
Overall in the 10-month period, output volumes in Mahshar and Asaluyeh petrochemical complexed reached 15.1 and 18.841 million tons respectively while the figure for other petchem companies stood at 8.165 million tons.
CEO of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) Marzieh Shah-Daei recently said actual output of Iran’s petrochemical products will climb to about 51 million tons saying “moreover, it is estimated that by mid-March, nearly 20.2 million tons of Iranian petrochemicals worth approximately $9.5 billion will have been exported.”
