Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh has voiced his support for investment of petrochemical projects at Parsian Special Economic Zone (PSEZ), saying the zone is the best place for petrochemical investment.
Addressing a meeting of senior petroleum ministry officials held to discuss investment opportunities in the zone Sunday, the official expressed satisfaction at the measures undertaken in the regions for developing the infrastructure required for developing petrochemical projects, the official voiced Iranian Ministry of Petroleum's keenness to invest and support investments in the region.
The ministry would guarantee supply of feedstock to plants operating in the zone, promised the official, saying that development of the petrochemical industry of the country is one of the key issues top on the Rouhani Administration.
Also attending the meeting was Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei.
She said Parsian Special Economic Zone is an exemplary region for developing petrochemical plants.
She said many European and international chemical and energy majors have signaled their readiness to finance projects in the region or join them by bring state-of-the-art technologies to the projects.
Covering 10,000 hectares of land in Parsian County, southern province of Hormuzgan, the zone is being operated by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
