Gas Delivery Capacity Rising by 300 mcm/d
TEHRAN Feb 15(Shana)--Gas transfer capacity will rise by 300 million cubic meters per day under the budget legislation which provides enough funds for construction or extension of IGAT-3, IGAT-9 and IGAT-11.
Director of planning at the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Hassan Montazer Torbati said construction of the aforementioned pipelines will advance in line with development of new phases of the South Pars gas field.

“Construction of this three gas pipeline will raise gas transfer capacity of the country to one billion cubic meters per day in three years”, he told Shana.

Under the 2nd article of the budget bill, NIGC is authorized to spend more than 17 billion dollars in its projects in next three years.

The second section of IGAT-6 with 610 km length and transfer capacity of 110 mcm/d crosses Assaluyeh-Bidboland-Ahvaz consisting five boosting pressure stations.

IGAT-9 with 1.863 km length starts from Assaluyeh and crosses Ahvaz, Dehgolan and Bazargan including 17 boosting pressure stations while IGAT-11 with 1.200 km length originates from Assaluyeh and is linked to Mashhad-Tehran 48 inch pipeline after crossing Bushehr, Fars, Yazd, Esfahan and Semnan provinces.
