Director of Customs Office in this western Iranian province announced Tuesday that non-oil exports from Mehran border has had 12 percent increase in the first three months of Iranian calendar year started on March 21, 2015, compared to its preceding year.
Khalil Heidari said the exported items fetched the country about 275 million dollars.
Heidari said the exported goods from Mehran international border point mostly included agricultural products and plastic materials.
Over 600 trucks and trailers carrying domestic products from all over Iran transit goods to Iraq through Mehran border terminal every day, added the official.
Mehran international border point is located 95 km south of Ilam. The terminal re-opened after the fall of Iraq's Ba'ath regime in 2003.
