Nearly 8,000 tons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been exported from the southwestern city of Abadan in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started on March 21), a local oil official said on Tuesday.
Speaking to IRNA, Director of Abadan office of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company Ali Hekmat, said that Iran exports LPG to other countries via land and sea borders.
LPG, which is one of the valuable products of Abadan refinery, is exported by means of 400 gas trailers, Hekmat said.
Without naming the destinations for the Iranian LPG, Hekmat said that this amount of exports is being made to increase the country's non-oil exports.
