The volume of the petroleum goods transited from Anzali port, north of Iran, rose by 118% year-on-year during spring.
Managing director of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Gilan Province said a total of 10,719 tons of oil products were transited from the port during spring while the figure stood at only 4,911 tons last spring.
Ali Naeimi said 3,658 tons of oil products entered Iran through the port during the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, Shana reported.
He said most of the items came from Turkmenistan for Iraq delivery through Iran's Piranshahr transit route.
