Regional countries including those in Central Asia are trying to transit their petrochemical products to the target markets through Iran.
Already, Iran has swapped crude oil as well oil products of regional countries to the world markets.
Due to its unique geographical position, Iran has enough potential for turning into the transit hub of energy in the region. Also, anti-Iran sanctions and political pressure would not be able to hide such potentiality.
Swap of oil and petrochemical products through Iran is not a new issue, but Turkmenistan which has no access to the international waters is willing to transit more products through Iran to the world markets.
Turkmenistan located in the Central Asia region is among the biggest owners of world gas reserves, so, it is trying to find due market for its products.
It is predicted that, after lifting anti-Iran sanctions, oil and gas consumers and producers will show much more willingness to transit their products through Iran as a safe path.
