Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country is ready to help Iran increase its oil production and its possible impacts on the international oil markets.
'Russia considers the rise in oil output after the removal iof the international sanctions on Iran as a natural process,' Putin said on Friday.
He, meantime, said that he believes Tehran and six world powers will “soon” manage to reach a “compromise” in their negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.
“Compromise should be found,” Putin told reporters in the Urals city of Ufa on Friday. “In my opinion, it will be found soon.”
Putin further expressed hope that Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States - plus Germany would agree on guarantees for a successful accord.
“Not only Iran and talks participants but all of the countries in the region including Arab countries … are interested in this,” said Putin, calling for the abolition of all sanctions imposed on Iran.
“We proceed from the fact that all sanctions against Iran should be lifted,” added the Russian leader, stressing that all sanctions should be removed “as soon as possible.”
“We believe this (imposing bans) is not the way to solve international problems,” Putin pointed out.
