Iran's ambassador to Poland said here on Friday that Poland can be a major economic partner for Iran, the first step towards which can be increasing bilateral trade volume to on billion euros.
Ramin Mehmanparast who was speaking in a joint press conference with the Polish deputy prime minister and economy minister in Poland's Ministry of Economy said that the nuclear deal which leads to termination of unjustly imposed sanctions provides an appropriate opportunity for Polish firms for boosting economic ties with Iran.
He said that there is a broad spectrum of various fields for bilateral cooperation, including the oil and gas, mines, machinery, agricultural and animal husbandry products, petrochemical industries, auto industries and spare parts, train wagon and locomotive manufacturing and medical facilities' fields as some samples of possible fields for bilateral trade.
'The 80-million-strong Iranian market is the most stable and most secure market in the region and those conditions have encouraged the major foreign companies to rush to Iran for trade,' he emphasized.
Janusz Piechocinski, the Polish deputy prime minister and minister of industries, mines, trade, power plants and energy, too, said in the press conference that the Iran-Sextet nuclear deal is good for the world and the entire region, considering it a positive step towards expansion of economic, cultural and political relations between the two countries.
'Therefore, we intend to dispatch a major economic delegation inclusive of merchants and major Polish industrialists to Iran in early fall season of 2015, as well as a large group of Polish reporters to personally visit the natural and tourism attractions of Iran,' he added.
