Shiraz Petrochemical Plant processed 640,000 tons of petrochemicals, 109% of its rated capacity, during the first 4 months of the current calendar year which began on March 21, 2015.
The plant's annual nameplate capacity is at 1.7mt, and it is expected to process 1.64mt of petrochemicals by the end of the current calendar year to March 20 2016.
Shiraz Plant was the 4th most productive petrochemical plant in the country during the period, Shana reported.
Furthermore, the plant sold 135,000t of its products on international markets during the same period.
It produces urea, ammonia, sodium carbonate and bicarbonate, nitric acid, argon, agricultural ammonium nitrate and methanol.
